Koorie Women Mean Business Incorporated held the Inaugural Victorian
Aboriginal Women’s Awards, in 1997 which aims to publicly acknowledge
the contribution of Victorian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women
who have dedicated their time and work to their communities. The awards
take place very two years the next will be in 2006.
